The Dissenters
are a race whose primary sense is touch. They plan to the last detail
and cooperate almost perfectly with each other. Their major failing is
a refusal to innovate. If their extensive plans do not cover a new situation,
they are often unable to cope. The Dissenters once ruled a huge area of
space and created the Almacens. Their empire collapsed and small remnents
of their former colonies still exist in the FV. The Mariscos (the FV name
for the species) have lost all knowledge of Dissenter culture and in most
cases live in low technology societies
