Linux and Computing
Art
Linux Mandrake, an excellent Linux distribution from France. I've used this as my main OS for the last couple of years. Southern Graphics, my brother-in-law's site. Photoshop, Bryce, Zbrush, 3DS Max, Lightwave. You name it, he's good with it! He writes software reviews too.

Slashdot news. Keep up to date with the things that matter in the world of computing..

3D Starmaps is a great site for SF writers. It's full of useful information on astronomy and galactic mapping.

The Register, a UK computing news service. Find out what is happening before the rest of the world does. I did some ships for the play by e-mail game VGA Planets. (I've never played it though....)
KMFM - Kein Mitleid Für MicroSoft. A series of articles (in English) detailing things that Microsoft have done and said that they would prefer you to forget. If you want to know why so many people passionately dislike Microsoft, this is a good place to start. Celepina, artwork and details of a world I created for the Traveller (RPG) Land Grab pages. You adopt a world and create the details.
The Linux Emporium, a useful place to buy cheap Linux CDs
Cheep Linux, another good place to buy cheap Linux CDs
