I work for Network Rail (formerly Railtrack) the company that owns the railway track and signals in England. I'm one of the Signaller Managers in Liverpool.

My main interests are books (I read everything I can get my hands on), I enjoy writing too. I'd like to finish re-writing my novel and get it sold. I eat, drink and sleep computers (particularly if they run Linux or any kind of Unix, I'm not a big fan of Windows). I'm as OS junkie, I like trying out Operating Systems. At the moment I'm using Mepis Linux, well worth trying.

I enjoy learning foreign languages (I speak reasonably good French, some Spanish and German and bits of Russian, Latin, Japanese and other odd languages) and motorcycles. I play the guitar, but I'm not very talented.

I write Linux tutorials, I have written reviews and tutorials for Linux Format magazine and Creative 3D's web site.
