SHIP SPECIFICATIONS

HEAVY FREIGHTER
The Heavy Freighter is considered to be part of the Uhlan class of ships. An extra section in the hull doubles the ship's volume but retains the proven layout of the Light Freighter and Uhlans from which it is derived. The Heavy Freighter is 15,000 metres in volume. The Mark I was simplified and phased out of production, nearly all in service are Mark IIs or re-fitted Mark Is. All carry 70 to 100 people, with food and SL fuel for 100 days. FTL cruise speed is 954c. Two bays for shuttles were fitted but often used for extra cargo as shuttles were not always available.
