Lance Light Destroyer

Designed and built at Trebizond, the Lance was the main warship during the early part of the war. The Lances have more armour than the Kometas, acceleration of 4.4gs (with fuel for 80 days) and FTL cruise speed of 954c. There are 6 Scythe High velocity cannons fitted in the nose (8 in later versions). The ship has reasonably comfortable quarters for 100 crew, space for 600 tonnes of stores and can carry any shuttle smaller than 400 m3, although in service this was rarely carried. Later versions did not carry shuttles and had extra living space. Although not optimised for atmospheric work, re-entry is possible. Lances were designed to take a lifting adapter in order to recover disabled ships from planets.
The final version of the Lance (The Pika 3) was a high speed Dissenter chaser, with the crew reduced to 10, no armour and 47 gs of acceleration
