SHIP SPECIFICATIONS

The Phantom was a gift-import. Nikopol, a non-FV world beyond Ferghana had a small fighter in production. This hull was fitted with an engine derived from the Moth freighter and better sensors to make a useful scout ship. Phantoms were assembled in unused shuttle yards. The ship could carry a crew of ten, although the lack of space inside meant that five was the practical maximum for long journeys. The ship was unarmed in FV service, the weapons pylons carried sensor equipment. A Phantom discovered the main Dissenter supply base (called Alpha Base by later historians) and they performed a useful role carrying staff and small parts. HULL: 1500 cubic metres.
