Stranniks

The Stranniks are a culture on the border of the FV. They excel at salvage and repair of vehicles that others consider scrap. Stranniks are highly valued as ship's engineers, but although paid higher than other crew members, always appear poverty-stricken. Stranniks prefer not to wear shoes, (perhaps to reinforce the popular idea that they are so poor that they will have nothing worth taking). Their homeworld of Strannik Mercado appears to be a series of scrapyards and small shipyards.
